Update Time finally

Hey there. Remember me? Yeah it’s been a while since I last updated this. There’s been quite a few upgrades/finds/stuff since I last promised an update.

Picked up this Crouse Hinds 4 way signal September 2022. Had to drive to Connecticut to get it, but that was ok since I was driving there for something else too. More on that in a bit.

This signal was in great shape. Saw it on Reddit of all places. Had some conversations with the current owner, and next thing you know, i’m the new caretaker of it. This signal was in great shape. Pretty much original condition. I had a plan for it too. More on that a little bit later.

Since I was going to Connecticut already, I also was shown this Harrington Seaberg signal. I ended up getting this at the same time as the 4 way signal. This thing was a great signal. It was pretty much original, in great shape, has some command lenses, and is heavy as hell.

I also got an old Electromatic Signal Cabinet too. That came as part of the CH 4 Way deal. Internals are pretty much gone except for a few old worn wires, but it’s a cool old signal cabinet.

Went to another Annual Signal Palooza. Had a great time as usual. Lots of other signal collectors, and lota of stuff to pick through. This Connecticut 2 section signal followed me home. It was freshly picked and just another addition to all the other stuff i’ve got. Like the setup on it, the color and patina too,

Saw this Crouse Hinds Art Deco singla section locally on FB Marketplace. It was priced really low. Picked it up one day after work. It’s got part of the hardware from it being part of a 4 way signal with a “wagon wheel” on the bottom to hold the 4 sections in place.

Went to another Signal Palooza. Another great time and yeah, I came home with something again. It was unusual looking for sure. 18″ long tunnel visors on it. So I grabbed it.

Traffic Light toys too? Sure why not. Saw this on eBay and couldn’t pass it up.

Remember the Crouse Hinds 4 way signal I got September 2022? Well, this is what I wanted to do with it. Create a replica of this signal i’ve seen for the past 50+ years locally. That’s in the top photo. I’ll do a seperate post for how I did that soon. I promise 😄

I saw this on FB Marketplace. This old police/fire callbox was from Utica NY. It was installed at a local hospital as best as I can figure referencing the number on the box. Got this March 2023

May 2023 went on a scouting trip and found some of these. Tops to pull boxes. They’re steel and super heavy. Would make a nice sidewalk with stepping stones I think.
