Has it really been so long since i updated the site? I guess it has.
Some things happened since my last update. I got some new signals over the past year. During my annual trip to Germantown I got some Econolite signals. A couple of singles and a 3 way signal. All are 8″ and pretty much as they were when installed many years ago. I think they all came from Middletown, NY when they did a major signal upgrade.
Also some Utica, NY pedestrian signals. Those are pretty old. They do have LED’s in them and were replaced within the last few years. Other than that, there’s not much more. I’ve determined I have too much stuff!! 😄
Oh yeah, almost forgot. I did retire from my job end of 2024 too. 37 years at the family business was enough for me. In 2025, I spent my time working as an Uber driver. I also worked as a chauffeur for the state of New York. I work part time for the New York State Commission For The Blind. It’s pretty easy. I get paid to drive and walk a guide dog. Mikey is a good boy.
So other than that, it’s pretty much it. We got a tremendous amount of snow in the winter of 2024-25 and it’s starting out that way again in 2025-26.
That’s about where we are now. I still have a lot of traffic signals. Like I said, sometimes I think I have too many. If I even more, then we’ll see if I have to many.
Also, to anyone who has sent a message on a post, i apologize. I saw there were some messages I never received. I fixed that with notifications when I get a message. Other than that, we shall see what 2026 brings.
